Founded in Sydney in 2024, Merge Dating was created as a fresh alternative to dating apps — bringing singles together at relaxed, hosted events where meeting someone new actually feels natural.

Now running events across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, the Central Coast, Wollongong,and regional locations across NSW, Merge has grown into one of Australia's fastest-growing singles event communities.

No apps. No speed dating. Natural vibes. Just real people, proper face-to-face conversations and a relaxed night out.

Our events are designed primarily around natural mingling, with friendly Merge hosts there to welcome everyone, introduce people and run a few light icebreakers to help get conversations started.

We run events for a wide range of ages and communities, along with themed nights, cultural events, LGBTQ+ events and plenty of different ways to meet.

Merge Dating Code of Conduct + Terms & Conditions

1. Compliance and Consequences :

Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in guests being removed and permanently banned from all Merge Dating Singles Events.

2. Respectful Behaviour:

All guests are expected to treat others with respect and kindness. Merge Dating is a safe space for everyone, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, body size, religion, disability, identity, or sexual orientation. Any form of targeted abuse, harassment, violence, discriminatory or hate speech, or content towards other guests or staff will not be tolerated. Incidents should be reported to any Merge staff member present.

3. Age Requirements:

Attendees must be over 18 years old. Each event lists a specific age bracket (e.g. 30–40, 45–60, 50+). Guests must fall within the advertised range, with a maximum permissible deviation of 5 years on either side, unless the event listing specifies otherwise. Merge Dating reserves the right to refuse entry if you are outside this range. In such cases, your ticket may be transferred once to an event within the appropriate age range, but no refunds will be issued.

4. Deemed Acceptance

By purchasing or accepting a ticket, or by entering or attending a Merge Dating event in any capacity, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.

5. Personal Information:

Exercise caution when sharing personal information that could reveal your location, financial details, email address, or social media profiles. Protect your personal information until you establish trust with others.

6. Accurate Information:

Providing false or misleading private or personal information is prohibited. Violators will be removed from the event.

7. Illegal Activities:

Engaging in illegal activities at our events is strictly forbidden. Offenders will be removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.

8. Media Release:

By attending a Merge Dating Event, you waive any copyright or intellectual property rights to any photos, videos, recordings, or other multimedia captured. You acknowledge that you will not receive any payment or consideration for these materials. You release Merge Dating, its employees, and agents from any liability connected with the publication or use of these materials.

9. Behavioral Conduct:

If, in our reasonable opinion or that of our service providers, your behaviour poses a danger to yourself or others, causes damage to property, breaches any local laws, is abusive or threatening, creates a public nuisance, or violates venue or security instructions, Merge Dating reserves the right to cancel your booking without a refund and ban you from future events.

10. External Interactions Disclaimer

Merge Dating is not responsible for any interactions, relationships, or communications that occur outside the event. Participants engage at their own discretion and risk.

11. Personal Risk:

Participation in certain activities at our events may involve personal risk. By purchasing a ticket, you accept full responsibility for any damage, loss, or expense caused by you or anyone named on your booking.

12. Alcohol Consumption:

Guests may consume alcohol but must do so responsibly. Merge Dating accepts no liability for any injury, cost, expense, loss, or damage resulting from impaired judgment due to alcohol or drugs.

13. Drug Policy:

Merge Dating has a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal drugs. Possession of illegal substances will result in removal from the event and possible notification of law enforcement.

14. Sexual Misconduct:

Merge Dating enforces a zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct. Any act of unwanted sexual behavior, harassment, or violation of another person's consent, will result in immediate removal from the event and potential reporting to authorities.
