About this event
Inspired by CakePicnic and a foggy memory of a Halloween cakewalk at a church sockhop in my childhood. We are gathering at Marz Community Brewing to exchange seasonal treats and enjoy a screening of the iconic Rocky Horror Picture Show and celebrate the life and legacy of Tim Curry.
Bring Fall flavors and spooky aesthetics. Apple, Pumpkin, baking spices. Marshmallow cobwebs, and white chocolate ghosts.
How the event will flow-
Upon arrival you will be given a card to write a description of your dessert and we will place on the display table.
The coordinators will take one last photo and video of the display.
Then we will break to wash and sanitize our hands before we put on gloves and we cut the desserts.
We will provide you with serving knives and waxed floss to cut cakes, pies, or brownies.
Each dessert should have 12 servings at minimum, meaning each guest leaves the table with 12 different desserts at minimum.
You'll start at your dessert and move clockwise, planning to take 12 pieces in total. We'll just circle until we deplete them completely.
I suggest scoping out which desserts interest you the most while we are just taking pictures, but keep an open mind about others in case it's gone by the time that you reach it.
It's important to me that everyone has access and enjoys the experience. This event is purposefuly being kept small to keep the experience orderly and enjoyable.
There will be a complimentary self service coffee station as well as extra plates and cutlery to share your cake with friends.
