About this event

Important notice about this Saturday’s Trans+ Pride event

As you may be aware, the starting point for London Trans+ Pride is now going to be Langham Place, near Oxford Circus, instead of Trafalgar Square, due to a planned demo by the far right on the same day.

This means that we are no longer able to follow our initial plan of having volunteers lead a group on a walk from the Centre to the start of the march, as we would now need to travel via public transport.

We want to be completely transparent and not make promises we may not be able to keep in terms of safety and unfortunately, after much consideration, we don’t feel that our current safeguarding plans are sufficient to protect both volunteers and attendees travelling as a group on the tube, especially considering the potential far right presence in and around the area.

As a result, we will no longer be leading a group to the march from the centre; however, the Centre will still be open and staffed from 10:30am onwards if you would like to use it as a meeting point, to get changed, fill water bottles or store bags and valuables while on the march.

We will also be open all day with refreshments, board games and crafting activities available for anyone who wants to relax in a chilled environment before, after, or instead of attending the march.

We’re very grateful to everyone in our community who volunteered their time or indicated a desire to march with us, and very sorry for any disappointment this decision causes.
