Step into the vibrant world of Konpa, a captivating dance and music genre from Haiti, with Petite Madame, one of the UK’s leading ambassadors of the dance.

Whether you are completely new to Konpa or looking to refine your technique, this class offers a welcoming and supportive environment where you can learn, connect, and grow with confidence.

Known as a prolific, petite powerhouse with grace and undeniable passion, Petite Madame has dedicated herself to elevating and sharing her love for Konpa throughout the dance community. Drawing from her Caribbean roots, years of international teaching experience, and a lifelong love of dance, she brings authenticity, energy, and cultural richness to every class.

Expect to learn the foundations of Konpa movement, musicality, partner connection, and social dance etiquette, all broken down in a way that is accessible and enjoyable.

Beyond the steps, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the culture, history, and rhythms that have made Konpa a beloved part of Haitian heritage and a growing presence on dance floors around the world.

Petite Madame has created a space where Konpa can have its deserved shine, building cultural connections and leaving a positive mark on the dance scene. About the facilitator

A prolific, petite and powerhouse with grace and undeniable passion, Petite Madame, leads the way for Konpa in the UK as organiser, teacher, leader, and follower. She aims to elevate and spread her love for Konpa in the dance community.

Having taught in various countries, she has drawn her expertise from her Caribbean roots and deep love for dance from a very young age. She has created a space where Konpa can have its deserved shine, building cultural connections and leaving a positive mark on the dance scene.

Now, she aspires to prepare more Konpa Lovers to step onto the dancefloor with confidence and groove to the rhythm of the beat

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 symptoms including a headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough or chills.

You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
