Mondial 2010 is a film on love and place. A Lebanese gay couple decides to take a road trip to Ramallah. The film is recorded with their camera as they chronicle their journey.
Sultana's Reign (2023), directed by Hadi Moussally
Sultana of New York is a Palestinian drag queen, performer, and artist. "Sultana’s Rein" opens with a conversation with Sultana, as she is being painted by Jordanian artist, RIDIKKULUZ.
Reflecting on her journey from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, to then New York, Sultana tells of the challenges of performing drag in conservative societies, her nostalgia for the glory days and the glamour of Egyptian cinema icons, and her struggle to prove her existence and her self-expression as a performer and artist. She also shares her love of celebration and her everlasting commitment to be true to herself.
About Queer Film Club:
Queer Film Club hold bi-monthly screenings at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.
After each screening, there will be a community chat to share and unpack our thoughts about the film.
Filmmakers will sometimes join this discussion, while other events will be attendee-only chats.

You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
