This dance workshop invites women, trans and non-binary people to explore our creativity in a caring space.
Find out what dance means to you through fun and playful tasks in a small group!
The session will include warm-ups and cool downs, creative tasks, partner and group work, maybe free writing or drawing, and most importantly, just having a good time dancing!
There is no prior experience required.
This is a great opportunity for you to try something new, boost your confidence in dance, explore your creativity and boogie!
Together, we aim to create an appreciative, caring atmosphere for everyone to feel comfortable in.
A bout the facilitator:
The workshops are led by Elena Alava Hilgert (she/they), who is a London-based community dance artist and recent graduate from the MA Dance Leadership and Community Practice.
Elena’s interest lies in creating accessible dance spaces for different communities, specifically the LGBTQ+ community.

Covid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre:
To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.
You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
