About this event

About this event

This is a meetup for everyone interested in crafting and who would like to meet and chat with other craft lovers.

Bring your own craft project, and meet us at the LGBTQ+ Centre for a chat and craft time. We will share what we are crafting, ideas, tips but also just enjoy being together.

About the organiser:

I am Bibi (they/them), a former Costume Designer, now managing a charity shop and studying inclusion and diversity. Since I started my role within charity shops, I have been organising events and workshops to bring communities together like a jewellery workshop, a talk and workshop around fashion and sustainability, a poetry open-mic afternoon.

Accessibility:

I will use the space to make it accessible for disabled bodies, I will let people know that it is a neurodivergent friendly meetup (I am neurodivergent myself) and will support people with vision difficulties if they need too.

Unfortunately, I don’t know sign language and as it is a meetup and people will be chatting together, I feel it isn’t a meetup as accessible for deaf people but if someone wants to join and my support with writing down the conversations is enough, I will be happy to do that too.

The Centre is wheelchair accessible but does not have wheelchair accessible toilets. However, wheelchair users are able to be escorted to either Blackfriars Station or the Founders Arms (less than a 2 minute journey) by Centre staff.

Covid-19 safety:

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors take a Covid test before coming to the Centre. Please wear a mask unless exempt.
