Weekly 1:1 counselling to support wellbeing and mental health for LGBTQ+ people.
Counselling can help make sense of difficult experiences, deal with negative thoughts and feelings and help make positive changes in your life.
Book now a first consultation with Alex before embarking on your therapy journey.
What to expect:
Sessions will last 50 minutes, held in a private space in the centre, the sessions will start at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm or 4pm and will take place at the same time every Thursday. If it isn’t possible for you to access the Centre, online sessions can be arranged.
How long for:
We can initially contract for up to 12 sessions. However, there are options to extend.
How much are sessions:
£25 per session if your income is less than £20,000 or you are a full-time student, £35 per session if your income is £20,000+
About Alex:
Alex has a background in addiction services. They have years of experience in the voluntary sector, working in drug and alcohol services and support groups, as well as working with homeless charities and LGBTQ+ charities to provide drug and alcohol support.
They are a trainee counsellor and psychotherapist, have a bachelor's degree in Psychosocial Studies and are working towards a masters degree in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute. They are specifically interested in a humanistic, person-centred style of working. Alex is a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
