About this event
Join us for the opening of the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre, a six-month pop-up space on London’s Bankside.
It’s a space for the community, by the community. In 2017, we ran a crowdfunder to create a space modelled on similar centres in New York, Los Angeles, Birmingham and Manchester, and thanks to the enormous support from our communities we’re able to open a six-month temporary space which we hope will prove that sober, intergenerational, inclusive LGBTQ+ spaces are needed now more than ever in London, especially after the isolation we have faced over the last nearly two years.
The Centre will be a cafe, a meeting space, a place where chosen families can form and flourish. It will be affordable and intersectional, with events and LGBTQ+ specific services all under one roof.
Join us on Wednesday 1 December to see the new space, sign up for events, and tell us what you want from your Community Centre.
We are what you make us, so make yourself at home.
Our Centre's Accessibility Statement is available on our website. Should you require a BSL interpreter, please let us know at events@londonlgbtqcentre.org and we will arrange this.
Date: 1st December 2021
Doors open: 5:00pm - 8:00pm

December 1st is, of course, World AIDS Day. We will be holding a collection for the National AIDS Trust at the event, with red ribbons available in exchange for a donation. This will be given in full to the National AIDS Trust.
