About this event

Learn how to create jelly (Geli) prints with art-science practitioner Dr Jennifer Crouch who will demonstrate how to use acrylic ink, combine images, use printed matter, relief and masking to create complex, layered images.

During the workshop you'll select images to superimpose on one another, combine text, texture and colour. Leave with knowledge and a series of your own prints and knowledge of how to continue independently!

Participants are invited to bring their own images if they can, these need to be printed in high contrast on a photocopied in black and white.

If you wish to use you own images and cannot print yourself please email them to hello@londonlgbtqcentre.org before the workshop.

About the facilitator:

Dr. Jennifer Crouch (they/she) is a queer multimedia art-science practitioner working in sculpture, textiles, illustration, drawing, installation and painting.

Informed by their background in physics and medical illustration their work investigates the multi-scalar nature of materials, sensations, places, objects and processes. Jennifer’s work as a lecturer, teacher, author and public engagement professional informs their practice through creative workshops.

They were awarded their PhD in 2023 from the University of Portsmouth, which merged their interests in bodily matter, embodied knowledge and MRI physics through sculpture and weaving.
