Curious about how to support a friend or partner during labour? Join our upcoming session where we’ll delve into tips and tools for being a badass birth partner!
This session is open to all, so no need to be pregnant or family-building right now, we hope this will provide helpful information for anyone who i curious about birth.
Our agenda:
- Being a present and intentional birth partner
- Birth partner roles + responsibilities
- Advocacy tools
- Birth expectations + affirmations
- Tips and tools to use before, during and after labour
- Time for questions
During the session:
Everything is an invitation and therefore optional, totally fine to come along to chat and ask questions or simply to sit and observe
We acknowledge the varied experiences and identities in the space and celebrate that we are here to learn together from each other
Follow your needs - take bio breaks, eat snacks, stay hydrated and move your body as you need (there will also be at least one break in the middle of the session)

Aftercare - if things come up that you’d like to talk about, we'll share our emails with you so you can reach out to us.
Facilitators:
Kinhood is a collective of LGBTQ+ birthworkers including midwives, doulas, massage therapists and hypnobirthing practitioners. Together we aim to support LGBTQ+ families and kin in their reproductive journeys.

Covid and monkeypox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre:
To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or monkeypox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.
You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
