About this event
In a world that is still homophobic, transphobic, what happens to us when we grow old? Are we forced back into the care closet? Join us as we discuss care issues for LGBTQ+ people, care homes and caring for our LGBTQ+ elders.
Panellists:
Ted Brown has been an active member of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) since 1970. He currently campaigns for LGBTQ+ people in care systems.
Eileen Chubb is the founder of Compassion In Care a charity that has helped record and highlight over 400 cases of trans/homophobic abuse in care systems in the UK in 2022.
S tephanie Fuller is the CEO of Switchboard, a helpline and referral service for LGBTQ+ people that has been in operation since 1974.
Hosted by Raga D'silva, an award-winning entrepreneur and author and Chair of Trustees at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.

The space does not have a wheelchair accessible toilet, but we have a standing arrangement to use the facilities of a neighbouring business (about a 2 minute trip).
