About this event

How are people with disabilities expressing their sexuality, fighting for sexual rights, and developing the general talk about disability?

This will be a safe space for anyone, regardless of how they identify with disability, to ask questions, learn, and discuss all the different ways that sexuality has evolved as one of the main topics for autonomy for people with disabilities.

You can also find media resources and contacts from charities and organisations in the UK that can help you to further understand about this intersection of human rights.

Accessibility:

The Centre's accessibility statement is here.

The Centre is accessible by wheelchair in both entrances and is on one floor at ground level. Our counter has a lower level for those in wheelchairs to access.

Unfortunately, the space does not have an accessible toilet. We have secured funding to make the bathroom accessible in the future.

Blackfriars Station, Starbucks and the Founders Arms all have disabled access toilets available to our visitors. We provide an escorting service for our guests in wheelchairs to access these toilets, which are less than a two-minute journey away.

Within the Centre, we also have weighted blankets, sensory toys and a quiet room.

Covid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre:

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the Centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.

You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.

For current information on Covid and mpox please visit the NHS website.
