About this event
Interested in exploring listening as a practice? How can we use listening to engage with our environment? How are music and meditation connected?
Inspired by the work of queer composer Pauline Oliveros, Deep Listening is a workshop that explores the concepts to Sonic Meditations, which are a series of prompts for journeying into meditation, music, and listening.
The workshop will consist of an introductory short meditation, participatory sonic meditations, and discussions in-between.
No prior meditation or musical experience required.
All proceeds go towards the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.
Note: Queer here is meant in the most inclusive way possible and we explicitly welcome LGBTQ+ people of any age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation - no questions asked. This is a space for us to come together.
