About this event
A queer comedy monologue writing workshop for everyone, from beginners to experienced writers.
In these two-hour group writing sessions you'll flex your comedy muscles, get creative, and potentially create a short piece of work you'd like to take home and develop further.
The session will open with introductions and some quick writing basics to inspire and guide you. We’ll all work to the same prompt to inspire our monologues, and this is not prescriptive - it's just as valid to use this time to write about something else if you already have a piece in mind.
Please bring a notebook and pen, or laptop as this is a practical session.
Join us in a safe, pressure-free and inspiring space to explore funny ideas, stories and characters.
This session is free but donations are open to the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.
The workshop is run by Eleanor Mason (she/her), a comedy scriptwriter.

To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the Centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.
You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
