The LGBTQ+ community has always seen the importance of preserving its history, but this has often had to be done in secret, passed on discreetly or destroyed.
This LGBTQ+ Pride Month join Alex to discover and reflect on your personal queer history in context of wider LGBTQ+ history.
We will look at how other queer archives work and explore a variety of ways, including written and visual to record our history.
You might have a long queer history or be new to considering yourself queer. No matter how long or short your history is you have moments worth celebrating. If you have photos or items you would like to bring please do, but this is not required.

Covid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre:
To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the Centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.
You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
