The Queer Film Club presents Ahead Of The Curve, 2020, Dir. Jen Rainin and Rivkah Beth Medow.
Tracing the legacy of the groundbreaking publication Curve Magazine, Jen Rainin and Rivkah Beth Medow's triumphant documentary reminds contemporary audiences of the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in media. AHEAD OF THE CURVE recounts the efforts of trailblazing founding publisher Franco Stevens to amplify lesbian visibility in riveting detail, from risky financial gambles to cross-country promotional tours, and from celebrity lawsuits to name changes.
For this special screening we will also be joined by the filmmakers for a Q&A.
All Queer Film Club screenings are pay-what-you-can. All donations go towards the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.

Covid and mpox safety at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre:
To keep our community safe, we ask that all visitors do not visit the centre if they are feeling any Covid-19 and/or mpox symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat, consistent cough, chills and unusual spots, scabs or ulcers.
You can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We also have masks and hand sanitiser available at the Centre.
