Step away from the city and into nature for a social hike designed for active singles who are ready to hit the trails, take in some incredible scenery and make new connections along the way.
Starting at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, we’ll hike through the Niagara Escarpment to Crawford Lake Conservation Area before making our way back to Rattlesnake Point. Along the way, you’ll experience forested trails, rocky terrain and beautiful escarpment scenery while getting to know other local singles in a completely different setting.
This isn’t your average walk in the park! Expect approximately 3 hours of hiking, with varied and uneven terrain along the route. A reasonable level of fitness and hiking experience is recommended. If you love being active outdoors and want to meet people who can keep up, this one’s for you.
What to Bring:
- Supportive hiking shoes or boots with good grip
- Plenty of water
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen and bug spray
- A small backpack for your belongings and snacks
PARK ADMISSION: Park admission is not included and must be paid separately. Reservations are recommended through Conservation Halton. Please wait until the hike has been confirmed the day before the event before purchasing/reserving your park admission. Reserve your visit to Rattlesnake Point
MEETING SPOT: Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area – 7200 Appleby Line, Milton, ON (Specific meeting instructions will be provided before the event.)
Suggested age: 30+
Friendly dogs are welcome, but please keep the length and terrain of the hike in mind when deciding whether to bring your pup.
Please note: This is a more challenging outing than our typical singles walks and hikes. The approximately 3-hour route includes uneven, rocky and natural terrain and requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. Please make sure you’re comfortable completing the full hike from Rattlesnake Point to Crawford Lake and back before registering.
The hike will be confirmed the day before the event and we monitor weather and trail conditions leading up to it. In case of rain or unsafe trail conditions, we will reschedule the hike to a later date, to be decided. Please note: if a cancellation is made due to weather conditions, no refund will be issued, and a credit will be applied toward another event if you are unable to make the new date.
